One of the biggest hurdles in making money online is establishing reader loyalty. Your readers have so many other options online so you must be loyal or they will go somewhere else. The key to everything, especially the key to your success lies in the hands of your readers, so you must make them feel comfortable with you. Here are the 5 best ways to increase reader loyalty.

1.       Respond to readers questions and comments – If a reader leaves a question or comment on your site, do you always respond to it? Even if the reader didn’t ask a question, are you showing them that you noticed their comment? Never underestimate the power of a response because it will help your site out immensely.

2.       Product quality content – Quality content is king, no matter what. It is king for search engines, other blogs, and most importantly your readers. Your readers will not want to come back to your site over and over again if you don’t provide quality content, they will just go someplace else.

3.       Stand out from the crowd – Is your website just like another site out there? Most people will create a site that looks and feels just like another website, but that isn’t how you create reader loyalty, you must be different. Something that you can do to be different is add a little humor to your articles because humor is always remembered.

4.       Write articles your reader will read – How many times do you write an article that never gets read? In the early stages of your website you will write many articles that nobody sees, but that shouldn’t last long. If you don’t know what articles your readers are reading then you need to analyze your sites traffic and see what articles are getting the most traffic.

What I recommend doing is every month analyze your Google Analytics account and see what articles have been read the most, you will want to post at least 2 on that topic each week in order to build your readers. Another thing to do is just ask your readers what they want to read and post a readers choice at least once a week.

5.       Never take advantage of your readers – The last and most important thing you need to understand is that you can never take advantage of your readers. Something many people do is try to sell their readers on any product as long as they can get a commission. As you can see I have Adsense on my site and I have affiliate products on the right hand side. That is it. I don’t tell you to click on anything and I will never tell you that you must buy a product to be successful because you don’t need a product, but you do need the knowledge. All a product is going to do is speed up the process that you learn what you need to do to make money online.

Understanding reader loyalty is the best way to get more traffic and keep the traffic you currently have. Once you can master reader loyalty you will be able to earn fast cash with your site.
