Warren Buffet; one of the wealthiest men on the planet, the man that people associate with money, the “Oracle of Omaha”, and the one person that you should be following if you want to make money. The reason I bring up Warren Buffet is because he knows what it takes to make money and that has nothing to do with already having it. What Warren Buffet knows is that you have to leverage whatever you can and for you that will be your name.

How Do I leverage my name?

This is something that you do without even knowing it and it is very powerful. The way that you are already doing this is because in order to make money you have to be known whether it is through blogging, emails, copywriting, or just through an eBay seller account. Whatever it might be that you do does not matter all that much, what matters is that people come back to you to hear what you have to say or sell.

The best way to leverage anything is not to continue what you are doing but to actually do more than that. You need to step up your efforts in order to get your name out there a little more and so more people will know about what you do and why you do it.

Example:

Just recently I started working for a new client who wanted some search engine optimization done and some consulting. This is not where I made my money because I charged him about half of what I normally do and the reason was because I wanted to experiment with something, I wanted to see if he had what it takes to market for me. What I told him was that if he get 2 new clients for me that I would give him 50% off on whatever he needed from me for the first month and to my surprise I made more money with his marketing than with my own.

My conclusion was that he wanted the discount bad enough that he was going to go out there and get clients under his own name that were willing to pay him more because they have worked with him more. You see, I didn’t say that he had to tell the people I was going to be doing the work, all I said is you need to get me 2 new clients. What we did was I did all the initial work for the 2 new clients and then he presented the work to them saying that I did it for him. At this point you just need to pray that you did a good job that they come back (which they did).

As you can see the only way I was able to make as much money as I did was because I used the power of a person’s name and contacts to do it. Think about this, every person has 100 other people around them at any given time whether it is through a text message, phone call email, or even right there with them. Now think about this, how many people do you know, how many people will be around them, and how many people will be around them? I bet you can’t count that high in that short of a time and that is why Warren Buffet knows how to make money. All you need to do is drop names, or use the power of networking to make money whether it is online or at home.
