If you have a new website then you need to understand that the first month is crucial to its long term success. What most people don’t realize is that the amount of traffic and the amount of exposure that you gain in your first month will set the tone for future months to come. Something that I highly suggest is that you don’t worry about long term goals for any new website, you need to stick to the here and now mentality.

The reason why you need to make the first month a success is because most people will either stop working on a new website within the first few weeks or they will get tired of it not making them any money that they will slow down. If you want to be successful then you have to put in the work and unfortunately most of the work comes in the first few months. Something that you should always remember is that the bigger your website is to start the bigger it will be once it ages. Trust me on this one, I have tested this out and building a website with 50 pages and posts and then promoting it in the first month will get you a lot further than 5 pages in the first month.

Tips To Make The First Month A Success

Add new content – It doesn’t matter what kind of website you have, you need to add new content as often as possible. What most people think is they need to add a new page or post on their website at least once a day but that is not always the case. If you want to write new content every 3 days then that is fine, just make sure you are sticking to a schedule.

Promote daily – So many people say you need to write content daily and you do, but for promotional purposes. The reason why you need to promote your website daily is because doing this will increase the chances of people seeing your site. Most people spend about 20 minutes per day promoting their website but this is not enough, you need to spend at least 1 hour a day promoting a new website. When it comes to promoting a new website you should spend more time promoting it then messing around with the designs and adding new content.

The last thing you need to know about making the first month a success is that you have to stick with it. If you have a new website then you need to do all you can to get traffic to it and fill out the site with a lot of great content. If there is one thing I learned it was if I didn’t have the time to fill out or promote my new site then I need to pay somebody to do it for me. Remember, it doesn’t matter who promotes your site as long as it works and more people start coming.
