3 Great Summer Business Ideas

3 Great Summer Business Ideas

Now that summer is here we are all ready to make some money and go on vacation, right? The only problem with this is most people can’t make money on vacation and because of that they have to make more money before they even go. What you need to understand is that going on a vacation when you have no money is not fun at all and that is why I want to show you 3 great summer business ideas that you can start whether you are a 30 year old male or a 16 year old high school cheerleader.

The summer is a great time to start many different businesses and the reason is because everybody wants to take it easy and have some time to relax by the pool and therefore they will all pay more for things. My advice to you is when you find a business where people are jumping at the chance to work with you then you need to take advantage of that and start increasing your price. A great example of this is when I started a pool cleaning business a few years back. The first thing I did was charged $15 per hour but after a couple weeks I was so busy I needed to increase the price and so I started to charge $25 per hour. The nice thing about this was I was able to pay a friend $10 an hour to help me out so I was really making $40 every hour that I worked.

The problem that I had with my pool cleaning company is they always left dirt at the bottom of the pool and the reason was because they stood at the end and used a brush on a long pole. If you want to get the pool clean then the one thing you have to do is get in the pool and use a hand brush. I know this might sound different and to be honest it is but this is what I told the person to do when they cleaned my pool and now he is doing that to everybody’s pool. Trust me when I tell you that doing things differently can create a whole new business for you.

House Cleaner – There are a lot of articles on my site about becoming a house cleaner and the reason is because that is where I started years ago. When it comes to cleaning a house most people think they have to stick with the normal ways when in reality you need to think outside the box. Something that I recently started making my cleaning crew do is when they clean they have to plug in 2 humidifiers in the house to make sure that when they leave there is no dust in the air and the air is fresh and clean. Just remember that cleaning a house is very simple, the hardest part is trying to get new clients.

Article writer – The reason why I recommend being an article writer is because there are a lot of blog owner’s out there that would rather spend time on vacation and with their families than writing articles and you can cash in on this. I know for me personally I hire an article writer for a couple of my niche websites so that I can spend more time with my family. Just remember that every business needs to target somebody if you really want to make the money.

Knowing what you want to do is great, but you need to put your ideas into action if you want to make money from them. More and more people have been wanting to start a business at some point in their life so why not do it when most people are spending money, in the summer. My last piece of advice is to start with these 3 great summer business ideas and see where they take you, you never know if one of these will be your calling.

I thought about becoming a pool cleaner this summer but I didn’t really get how to get clients. Do you have any tips other than to contact friends and family because most of my friends and family don’t even own a house.

My tip to you is to just go around to people you know and ask them if they know of anybody that might be able to use your services. Most of the time you will get people that say no but it takes 20 no’s for 1 yes. Just remember that when it comes to making money from your business you need to be persistent because it won’t happen overnight.
