5 Ideas To Make Money With Your Truck
If you didn’t already know, today is week 2 of 5 Ideas To Make Money and it has gotten a lot of attention online. The first week I gave you 5 Ideas To Make Money On The Weekend and it was a big hit. I receive some great comments on it and I also got 8 emails from people wanting to know more about some of the ideas. Not only that but the article was also shared on 3 different blogs across the web.
Anyway, I am glad everybody liked the first 5 Ideas To Make Money and I can’t wait for you to read the second week of it.
Being that I am currently living in an area where 4 out of 5 people own a truck I wanted to give you some ideas about what you can to do make money with your truck. Most people don’t realize that a truck is a very valuable piece of equipment and if you know what you are doing you can easily make money with it.
Before I get to the 5 ideas to make money with your truck I want to make sure you understand that when you start a business using a truck a lot of times it will void the warranty so make sure that if you are using a truck with a warranty that you don’t damage it in any way. I know this might be easier said than done but just try your best because I don’t want to see you damage your truck to a point where you are working just to pay to have it fixed.
5 Ideas To Make Money With Your Truck
Junk Removal
This is one of my favorite things to do and the reason being that some people throw out perfectly good things. What you should do is get your name out there for people who are doing fall cleanup and make sure they know that you will haul all your junk away for a small fee. The trick here is to get enough people knowing who you are so that when it comes time for cleaning they automatically call you.
Moving Business
Have you ever moved before? Most people hate moving and the reason they hate moving is because they have to pack up all their belongings, put it in a truck, and then haul it to a new location and unload it. This is where you come in. If you don’t mind putting stuff in your truck and taking it to the client’s new home then you will love a moving business. The best part about it is that with this business word of mouth is golden and it works better than most advertising.
Landscaping Business
Now I know what you are thinking, what if I don’t have a lawnmower, right? Well this is not a problem because that is not where I was going with this. You see, when I first started my lawn business about 8 years ago I didn’t have any equipment and I didn’t have the money to go out and buy it and so I started out charging less if the client’s let me use their stuff. This worked out great because people didn’t want to pay that much and they also didn’t want to dig out their equipment and do their yard work themselves. The reason you need a truck is because you don’t want to leave a bunch of garbage, grass, and leaves laying around the client’s house and that is why you will take it all and throw it in your truck. Trust me, doing this works better than charging more and using your own equipment.
Delivery Service
This is not a new idea but the truth is that there are not a lot of big deliver vehicles that you can rent or use. Have you ever driven by Home Depot and saw the big truck in their parking lot that says rent me on the side of it? This is what you are essentially doing, you are going to be use your truck to deliver things for people but instead of them needing to use a credit card as a deposit they just pay you for your services. I know it might seem like a lot of work but just get your name out there with contractors who are sometimes too busy to run to the store and get a couple boxes of nails.
Mobile Advertisement
How would you like to get paid just to drive around for a while? This is something that you can easily do with a big truck that attracts a lot of attention. All you have to do is get people to pay to have their name or business logo put on your truck. The key here is to get enough people fighting over your truck that you can increase your price. Heard of supply and demand? Now you will have a choice that you need to make at first; you need to decide whether you are going to charge by the week, month, or by miles. The more lucrative option for you would be by miles and the reason being that you would change so much money for every mile you drive.
Now that you have this weeks 5 ideas to make money I hope you get out there and start making something happen. Just remember that when you do start something to come back and let me know how it went and if you had any problems along the way.

I am already in the Moving business. I have been doing this is for about 2 years. But the problem I face is that I get only one or two service request in a week and rest of the days I am doing nothing much profitable with my truck. I think that Junk removal and delivery are also great ideas. I will try to implement this two also. Thanks for the idea.

I actually like the Mobile Advertisement idea and I think it can go up with most of the ideas above. My truck is on road most of the time, so why not give some advertisement on it along with the work I am already doing? I can charge less from advertisers and this income will be just a addon without my requirement to do any thing extra. Also, when the truck is free I can give some dedicated miles for the advertisement too. What do you think?

What I suggest is that you put more work into your business right now. Don’t try to expand because people will see that you are doing way too much and they won’t use you. My advice is to work on your moving business and wait until that takes off before you start something else.
