What do you do to provide for your family? Do you work for a company that pays you every other week no matter what kind of profit they turn?

This used to be me, I was a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and I was making more money per month than I could have imagined at only 22 years old. I was working the hours that I wanted to work, I could get off whenever I felt like it, I was able to choose my own clients, and I loved every aspect of my job.

This all changed when my wife was forced to leave the country!

The reason all of this changed was because my wife (who was brought up here illegally when she was only 1) got picked up by immigration. We tried to get her a green card for about 1 year but then they gave us a decision, we could fight the process and hope the law changes or we could leave the country. Being that we wanted to do everything right – We left the United States to come down to Mexico.

And so my job at Northwestern Mutual was over and I had to figure out some way to make a living down here in Mexico.

That is where blogging saved me from having to leave my family for months on end while I come to the United States and work.

If you don’t think blogging is a real way to make an income then keep reading because it has provided for me and my family for about 2 years now and it keeps getting better and better. I now own about 18 different blogs and over 100 other websites that all contribute to my income and without this life changing experience none of this would have been possible.

If you are a longtime reader of this blog then you know that I have never stated how much it makes and there is a reason for that – at this point in my blogging career it is not all about the money, it is about helping others just like you. Blogging not only provides for me and my family but it also gives me the opportunity to give back to all those that click on ads, buy affiliate products, and in some cases donate money for free information.

There are so many different things you can do with a blog and that is why I fell in love with them. From talking about sports to hair loss or dog training to making money online – every topic is another way to make money.

When it comes to blogging you don’t have to be an expert in your field but you do need to have a passion to learn more about it and provide great information to your readers.

If you are like so many other people in this world that are looking for employment then take some time out of dropping off job applications and try blogging for once. I know this might not be what you consider a real job but I can now tell you that I make more money blogging than I did when I worked at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and it is because of that I am so passionate about it.

Trust me, blogging can work for you if you let it.

My story that I just shared is a true story and I didn’t share it with you for you to feel sorry for me – I shared it with you to give you an idea of what blogging has done for me and can do for you too.
