Make an Online Portfolio
Are you Visual Arts and Communication Major, and are interested in using your technical expertise to have some money to set aside for your entertainment, dining, and of course you can’t forget the beer pong? Well, you can put your well spent college tuition to more good use. As a Visual Arts and Communication Major, you can begin your freelance career right from your dorm. As a student myself, I understand the hardships involved in making all of the financial struggles, but you don’t have to strain over college jobs that don’t pay much more than a dime.
To start your freelancing career, you should make a website with a catchy and professional name. However, your main focus should concern your technical abilities. Therefore, you should provide a working portfolio that you will expand as your education progresses. This portfolio should provide your “early” examples from when you first entered this education, but should be current as well. When you begin to offer your freelancing services, you should not offer any items for sale, or any fees. You should leave a simple biography about yourself, and include a note stating that you are available for private hire, or you can create your own proprietorship. Just be sure to advertise your website, and you will be sure to make your small fortune.
